Aska Wilderness Trails
Aska
Road in GA is a hugely popular and highly
intricate wilderness trail area that is located
inside the Chattahoochie National Forest in Blue
Ridge Georgia. Many of the most popular North
Georgia Hiking trails are found within this
region and the area is renowned for its great
mountain biking trail system. As an avid outdoor
lover and adventure seeker, I have a thorough
working knowledge of North Georgia and the
beautiful towns of Blue Ridge GA, Ellijay,
Blairsville and all of the beautiful lands in
and around Aska Road in GA.
The Aska Trails System contains trails for all
levels of riders and hikers and range in
distance from one to 5.5 miles. Beginning near
Deep Gap on Aska Road in GA, the Aska wilderness
region spans 17 miles and takes riders and
hikers through some truly magnificent and
secluded locations. Some trails lead to
spectacular long range views and others take
riders and hikers to the shores of gorgeous Lake
Blue Ridge. The trailheads for the Aska Trails
in Blue Ridge Georgia are located at four
different outposts. You can access the trails
via the outposts at Deep Gap, Stanley Gap, Shady
Falls Road, and Forest Road 711, located just
off Campbell Camp Road. If you plan to park a
vehicle, the parking fees at the lots are $2 per
vehicle. Bulletins are located at each trailhead
with excellent maps of the trail system for
those that are a bit unfamiliar with Aska Road
in GA. The following is a list of the most
popular Aska wilderness trails and their
distances:
 Stanley Gap Trail - 5.5 miles
Green Mountain Trail - 4.6 miles
Flat Creek Loop - 5.8 miles
Stanley Gap/Flat Creek Connector -.1 mile
Long Branch Loop - 2.0 miles
